I recently read the latest Commonwealth Fund census report examining how healthcare coverage and access have fared under the ACA. The report specifically focused on the time period between 2013 and 2016. One compelling take away is that fewer adults skipped doctors’ visits due to cost during this time. Thus, creating more access to healthcare and treatment. According to the report, adults ages 18 and older who said they skipped a physician visit when needed because of cost decreased by 13% in 2016.
